AaI&A News

2007-02-11

Welcome to the Aardenburg Imaging & Archives (AaI) Website. The "AaI News" column will be maintained by Mark McCormick-Goodhart. It will likely not be updated daily, but I will try to post something new at least once a week.

I confess I'm clueless with website development, but hopefully with the help of my good friend, Jordan Lewis at Winsford Way Studios, I will be a quick study and move steadily to improve the AaI website. Aardenburg Imaging & Archives is a new venture, and imaging research and digital printmaking is a key part of what AaI is all about. Some interesting test results are coming soon, I promise. In the meantime, I have decided to post two articles about the I* metric to get this show started! The I* metric takes an innovative approach to the evaluation of color and tone reproduction accuracy in photographic images. I will be using it extensively to share information about digital print quality and permanence. Admittedly, this initial post today is a very humble beginning, but I keep reminding myself that these two articles were the work product of several years of research. There is a significant part of my life enshrined in the pages of these two articles.
